Google's Street Art Project catalogs the ephemeral world of street art, forever.  Creating a worldwide database of images which is searchable by artist, city, country and genre, and even includes work that no longer exists due to gentrification or vandalism.  While it can be argued that the history of large scale pieces is in NYC, the most interesting work seems to be everywhere else.  And with the Street Art Project you can check it out without booking a flight.
